Dear HP Residents,
In the fast-paced environment of COVID-19, all municipalities are taking a range of steps to protect their citizens and mitigate transmission of the virus. These include limiting large group gatherings, restricting travel, instituting remote learning, and many variations of these and other measures.
The Borough of Harrington Park closed all parks and sports fields, both public and school facilities effectively AS OF March 16. No activities are permitted, including the usage of the playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, and etc. All recreation and sports programs have been suspended indefinitely as well.
The County Executive has issued an executive order requesting that "no groups of more than four people, other than family members, shall assemble in public at any time..." It is important for all the children and the youth of our town to follow the same instruction and continue to keep the recommended social distance with their peers. With the fast approaching warm weather, we request that all parents remind their children to refrain from congregating as a large group.
Certainly the way of life in Harrington Park has temporarily changed and it is not easy to adapt to the new way for many families. However, although it is important to keep calm and patient, it is critical to know that the well-being of our community depends on our cooperation and support. Please visit the Borough website (http://www.harringtonparknj.gov/) to learn more about COVID-19 and if you have any concern or questions, contact the Borough at (201)768-1700. Thank you.

Please be mindful of the neighborhoods where you walk your dog(s).
All dogs are required by Ordinance to be on a leash. In addition, you are required to curb your pet and pick up the waste matter, disposing of properly. Lets work together to keep our neighborhoods, yards, Borough Parks and School ground clean and healthy for our community.
Thank you for this consideration.
