Senior Freeze/Property Tax Reimbursement

Senior Freeze / ANCHOR Programs

The Senior Freeze Program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax.  To qualify, you must meet all the eligibility requirements for each year from the base year through the application year.

Eligibility requirements can be found HERE.

Forms can be found HERE.

Which Form Should I Use?

Form PTR-1 is for applicants who are filing for a reimbursement the first time (or who filed an application the previous year that we denied because the applicant did not meet all the eligibility requirements).

Form PTR-2 is a personalized application that the state mails only to those who filed an application and met all the eligibility requirements for a reimbursement the previous year. If you qualify to use Form PTR-2, and you did not receive a personalized application, call the Property Tax Reimbursement Hotline at 1-800-882-6597 to request one be mailed

2022 Filing Deadline:The deadline for 2022 applications is October 31, 2023.

PLEASE DROP OFF YOUR FORMS FOR THE TAX COLLECTOR’S CERTIFICATION AND SIGNATURE TO THE FINANCE DEPT. AT BORO HALL
